Items of interest:

The attic has has new carpet and was used for several years as a storage area / play room.  

The attic is split into two parts with a wall.  Each side has a sky-light.

Both the ceiling and the floor are insulated.  

Air conditioners were put in windows in the attic for summer play, and heaters for winter play.

There were beds in the attic for sleep-overs.  This allowed the children's toys and general mess to be contained to a floor in the house that was not the main living quarters.

The attic room varies in height.  Adults have to duck their heads in most parts of the attic, while children run around freely.

The stairs leading down have a removable fence around them for children safety.  In the pictures, you can see one side of the fence has been moved to allow access to put large items into the attic.

There is access to the roof through the attic.
