Several back yards are connected.  This allows for the neighborhood children to play together.  There are gates that can be locked for privacy.

The yard is clean and empty which means that it can be arranged however new owners would like.  It can be set up for gardening, or as a social area.  In the past, it has housed a garden, and it has been the area where folding tables were set up for neighborhood parties.  The adults would use the 211 back yard and the children would use the Chestnut Street back yards.

There is plenty of shade and there is a connection to 211 Lancaster garage through the back yard.  There are doors to the basement and the kitchen from the back yard.
